Apes is a ferocious six-piece band from Quebec City, Canada, formed in 2012 by longtime friends with roots in hardcore, death metal, and extreme music scenes. Blending grindcore, black metal, powerviolence, and hardcore into an abrasive, face-melting sound, they've built a dedicated following through relentless intensity and evolved from powerviolence roots to incorporate death and black metal elements. Known for their rural Quebec influences and tight-knit camaraderie, Apes deliver punishing live performances that showcase their unique, high-energy fusion.
