The Kovenant is a Norwegian industrial metal project from Hamar, formed in 1992 by Nagash (ex-Dimmu Borgir) and Blackheart. Originally a symphonic black metal act called Covenant, they shifted to industrial metal with "Animatronic" in 1999. "Nexus Polaris" (1998) is considered a black metal classic.
