The City Gates

The City Gates is a post-punk/shoegaze band from Montreal, Canada, formed around the mid-2010s. The four-piece—comprising Max on vocals and guitar, Frank on guitars, keys, and vocals, John on bass and vocals, and Justin on drums—draws inspiration from the 1980s and 1990s alternative music scene, citing influences including My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Joy Division, and New Order.
