The Mystery Lights

The Mystery Lights are a psychedelia-infused garage rock band that originated in Salinas, California in 2004, formed by guitarists Mike Brandon and Luis 'L.A.' Solano while still in high school. Drawing inspiration from 1960s Nuggets-era sounds, British Invasion groups, and punk rock, the band released their debut album 'Teenage Catgirls & the Mystery Lightshow' in 2009 before relocating to Brooklyn, New York in 2012. After establishing themselves in the NYC music scene with their energetic live performances, they signed to Daptone Records' rock imprint Wick Records in 2015, releasing their self-titled album in 2016 and 'Too Much Tension!' in 2019. Known for their fuzz-laden guitars, reverb-heavy production, and visceral live shows, The Mystery Lights have built a devoted following by blending authentic retro garage-psych aesthetics with contemporary energy and musicianship.
