Uada
Junkyard, Dortmund
Uada, meaning 'haunted' in Latin, is a melodic black metal band formed in Portland, Oregon, in October 2014 by guitarist Jake Superchi and James Sloan following a vivid dream that inspired their debut track. Hailing from the rainy Pacific Northwest, they draw from local landscapes and weather to craft atmospheric, powerful soundscapes, debuting with *Devoid of Light* in 2016 via Eisenwald Records and following with acclaimed albums like *Cult of a Dying Sun*. Renowned for their meteoric rise, grandiose live performances in hoods and leather, and triumphant global tours, Uada has redefined American black metal with epic melodies and unrelenting aggression.
