Anthrax: First New Album in a Decade — 'Cursum Perficio' Arrives in September

More than a decade after 'For All Kings' (2016), it's official: Anthrax announce their 12th studio album, 'Cursum Perficio'. Release date is September 18, 2026 — via Nuclear Blast in Europe and Megaforce in North America. Recording and mixing took place partly at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Northridge, California, with producer Jay Ruston returning after 'For All Kings' and 'Worship Music'.

'It's For The Kids': First Single in Ten Years

The wait ends on May 15 with 'It's For The Kids' — Anthrax's first new single in a decade. The eleven-track record features 'Persistence Of Memory', 'The Long Goodbye', 'Everybody's Got A Plan', 'NYC 93', 'T.O.M.B.' and the title track 'Cursum Perficio' — what the band describes as a return to the uncompromising energy of their 80s classics.

Anthrax Live in the Region

NRW metal fans still have a chance to catch Anthrax in 2026: the band hits Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium on June 18 — easy reach from the NRW border. More European tour dates are expected alongside the September album launch.
