A Blues Rock Veteran's Personal Comeback
Danny Bryant Since 1999, Danny Bryant has been one of Europe's most accomplished blues-rock guitarists – a man who has shared stages with Buddy Guy and Carlos Santana, and who in 2014 fronted Walter Trout's band for five weeks across the US while Trout recovered from a liver transplant. With "Nothing Left Behind" (Jazzhaus Records, January 2026), he delivers his most personal work yet: 11 songs processing health struggles and personal setbacks from recent years.

The album was recorded at Megaphon Tonstudios in Arnsberg (NRW!) under the production of guitarist Marc Raner, Bryant's longtime second guitarist. The result sounds organic and raw – from the opening "Tougher Now" through the heartfelt ballad "Missing You" to the instrumental closer "Heatwave Heartbreak." Special highlight: "Just For You" was recorded with a big band arrangement.
Reviews are uniformly positive: Blues Rock Review gives it 8.5/10, The Blues Magazine calls it "arguably one of the strongest statements in his career," and Music-News.com says "there isn't a weak number on the album."
