Deep Purple's 'Splat!' Drops in July — Live in Mönchengladbach and Dortmund
Deep Purple return with their 24th studio album: 'Splat!' drops July 3, 2026 via earMUSIC — produced by Bob Ezrin, the sixth Deep Purple album in a row with him at the helm. The band calls it "the heaviest Deep Purple album in many years."
Concept Album: The End of Humanity as Metamorphosis
Thematically, 'Splat!' skips the crude apocalypse and reframes the end as a transformation beyond physical existence. Ian Gillan describes the sessions as a return to "the fun of the music we made from '69 to '73" — a clear nod toward In Rock, Machine Head, and Burn. The album will be available as Box Set, CD digisleeve, 2LP gatefold, and transparent yellow vinyl.
Two NRW Dates for the New Album
The ongoing world tour brings Deep Purple to NRW twice: June 24, 2026 at Sparkassenpark Mönchengladbach — ten days before album release, perfect timing for the first new songs live — and November 3, 2026 at Westfalenhalle Dortmund with the full 'Splat!' show. 86 shows, 28 countries, three continents: Deep Purple show that the late phase still has fire.
