KMFDM: New Album "ENEMY" Out Now – European Tour Postponed Due to Illness

Good and bad news for KMFDM fans: the 24th studio album "ENEMY" dropped on February 6 via Metropolis Records – but the entire European tour had to be postponed due to severe illness.

The Album

"ENEMY" continues the band's prolific output, following the 2024 album "Let Go". The record spans dance-rock, industrial metal, thrash influences, and funk-driven rhythms. Sascha "Käpt'n K" Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli remain the creative core, joined by drummer Andy Selway and London guitarist Tidor Nieddu, who became a permanent member after the 40th-anniversary tour. A special highlight: Annabella Konietzko, Sascha's daughter, contributes her first songwriting credit on the track "Yoü".

Thematically, KMFDM stays true to form: "Society is in a shambles, fascism is in fashion, and the Ultra Heavy Beat remains resolute and resolved to rise up and rip the system!" – as the band describes the album.

Tour Postponed

The nearly sold-out European tour, which was set to kick off on February 20 at Essigfabrik Cologne, was called off in late December due to a severe illness requiring immediate medical intervention. All tickets already purchased remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

New NRW Dates

The good news: KMFDM are still coming to NRW! The rescheduled dates are already confirmed:

  • August 11, 2026 – Kulttempel, Oberhausen

  • March 15, 2027 – Essigfabrik, Cologne (rescheduled from February 20)
  • The album "ENEMY" is available now on all platforms as well as on 2xLP and CD.
