On April 4, the Grugahalle Essen becomes the epicenter of thrash metal: Kreator bring their "Krushers Of The World" tour to their hometown — with Exodus, Carcass and Nails forming a lineup that's hard to beat.
Kreator — Hometown Show in Essen
For the thrash pioneers founded in Essen in 1982, the Grugahalle show is a special hometown event. Their 16th studio album "Krushers Of The World" (Nuclear Blast, January 2026) has reaffirmed the band as one of German thrash metal's leading forces. Doors open at 18:20 — with four bands, it'll be a long, intense evening.
Exodus — "Goliath" Drops on Tour Launch
Exodus bring their new album "Goliath" (Napalm Records), releasing on March 20 — the exact tour start date. Produced by Andy Sneap and featuring a guest appearance from Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy), the Bay Area legends' 13th studio album promises their most aggressive sound in years.
Carcass & Nails
Carcass need no introduction — the melodic death and grindcore icons from Liverpool have been delivering for over 35 years. Nails from California complete the package as an uncompromising powerviolence machine that levels everything in under 20 minutes every night.
Tickets
Tickets start at EUR 74.90 via Eventim and at the door. The Essen show is the only NRW date on the tour — if you don't want to travel to Frankfurt or Hamburg, act fast.
