"Next To Die" – Two Sides of One Coin
Six Feet Under are back with their 15th studio album. "Next To Die" drops April 24 via Metal Blade Records, delivering twelve tracks deliberately split into two halves: Death and Groove. Guitarist Jack Owen, who co-produced the album with frontman Chris Barnes, describes it as a blend of aggressive death metal and the groovier elements that defined Six Feet Under's early days.
The album was mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis at MRL Studios in Nashville – a guarantee of crushing production, having previously polished records by Whitechapel and Cannibal Corpse.
Lead Single Already Out
The lead single "Unmistakable Smell Of Death" has been available since March 11 as a lyric video, showcasing the album's more brutal side. If you've been missing that classic Six Feet Under sound, this is a proper taste of what's to come.
