Social Distortion
Social Distortion ist eine amerikanische Punkrock-Band, die 1978 in Fullerton, Kalifornien, gegründet wurde. Die Band erlebte in ihrer frühen Karriere einige Besetzungswechsel, wobei Sänger und Gitarrist Mike Ness das einzige konstante Mitglied blieb. Social Distortion vermischt Punkrock mit Blues-, Country- und frühen Rock-and-Roll-Einflüssen. Sie gelten als eine der wichtigsten Punkbands und haben unzählige Künstler beeinflusst. Nach einigen frühen unabhängigen Veröffentlichungen unterzeichneten sie einen Vertrag mit einem Major-Label und erzielten Mainstream-Erfolge. Die Band tourt und nimmt weiterhin auf und pflegt eine treue Fangemeinde.
