Nils Wittrock

Nils Wittrock is the guitarist, vocalist, and a founding member of the Hanover-based band The Hirsch Effekt, formed in 2008. Their music, often described as Artcore, blends styles such as progressive metal, post-punk, and chamber music. Wittrock, who founded the band with Ilja Lappin, processed very personal themes on the seventh album "Der Brauch" (2026), which he wrote almost entirely by himself. He also authored a book about the band's history, published in 2018.
