VACUNT was founded in summer 2001 in the environment of the Linz KAPU as the successor to the Oi/street-punk band Captain Boycott, from which three quarters of the original lineup came. The band plays old-school-rooted, fast-paced hardcore punk with an original rather than traditional sound. In 2026, VACUNT celebrates its 25th anniversary.
