Unheilig Returns: Comeback Album Hits #1, Five NRW Shows Between May and January
Der Graf was gone for nine years. On September 10, 2016, Unheilig played their official farewell show in Stuttgart – and actually meant it. Until he resurfaced in early 2025 with the single Wunderschön out of nowhere, then dropped Liebe Glaube Monster on March 13, 2026 – promptly debuting at #1 on the German album charts.
Aachen Native, Universal Album, Mitsubishi-Halle
Der Graf was born and raised in Aachen and founded Unheilig there in 1999, somewhere between NRW industrial belt and Eifel romanticism. The new Universal Music album has 16 tracks, all written by him – led by the single Wunderschön and the ballad Du bist meine Heimat dedicated to his wife.
The comeback tour was originally booked for January 15 and 16, 2026 at Turbinenhalle Oberhausen – both shows cancelled after Der Graf suffered a calf muscle tear at a previous gig. The two dates have been merged into a single larger show at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle Düsseldorf on May 7, 2026. Existing tickets remain valid. Special guest: Alexander Eder.
Wieder zurück in Summer, Liebe Glaube Monster Tour in Winter
Five NRW shows are currently on the calendar. After Düsseldorf comes June 20, 2026 at SparkassenPark Mönchengladbach – the open-air date of the Wieder zurück comeback run. In winter, the branding shifts to Liebe Glaube Monster Tour 2026/27: December 17 at LANXESS arena Köln, December 29 at Westfalenhalle I Dortmund, and – due to demand – a second Lanxess night on January 6, 2027.
Can't wait? Liebe Glaube Monster is streaming everywhere, and the vinyl is in record stores. 🤘
