Abi Wallenstein

Abi Wallenstein (born 1945 in Jerusalem) is a German blues guitarist and singer who has lived in Hamburg since the mid-1960s. He is considered the "father of the Hamburg blues scene" and has been performing on stage since 1966. His style is characterized by fingerpicking in the Piedmont blues tradition, slide guitar, and his eight-string, open-tuned guitars. Wallenstein performs in various formations and has won numerous awards, including multiple German Blues Awards.
