Accept

Accept is a German heavy metal band from Solingen, formed in 1976 by guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, vocalist Udo Dirkschneider, and bassist Peter Baltes, with roots tracing back to the late 1960s under the name Band X. Recognized as pioneers in the development of speed and thrash metal, Accept achieved mainstream success with their 1983 album 'Balls to the Wall,' which remains their only gold-certified album in the United States and Canada. The band experienced multiple breakups and reunions, with current vocalist Mark Tornillo joining in 2009, and has released seventeen studio albums alongside numerous live and compilation recordings, maintaining a significant presence in the global metal scene.
