Alpheus

Alpheus is a ska, rocksteady and early-reggae singer who was born and raised in London by Jamaican parents. Steeped in sound-system culture and inspired by vocalists such as John Holt and Dennis Brown, he was discovered in 1997 by Tony Brevett of The Melodians and recorded his debut album with Clement Dodd at the legendary Studio One. He is best known for his long-running partnership with Spanish producer Roberto Sánchez and the Liquidator Music label, releasing a string of albums — including "Good Prevails" and "The Victory" — performed in the classic Jamaican style.
