ANDRÉ CAVALCANTE

André Cavalcante is a Brazilian fingerstyle guitarist and music producer from Rio de Janeiro, holding a Bachelor's degree in Classical Guitar from UFRJ. His style blends classical technique with Brazilian and Latin rhythms, flamenco influences and percussive techniques such as slapping and body drumming, sometimes using the Pickaso Guitar Bow. As a producer he has worked with labels including Universal Music, Sony and Som Livre and with artists such as Gabriela Rocha, Paula Fernandes and Sandy, earning three Grammy nominations along the way.
