Battlelore is a Finnish metal band formed in 1999 in Lappeenranta, whose symphonic, epic sound is devoted entirely to the fantasy worlds of J. R. R. Tolkien. The style is marked by interplay of growled and clean vocals, orchestral arrangements and folk-tinged melodies.
