blue friend

blue friend is the project of Cologne musician Cansin Terporten, whose songs move between indie, post-punk and melancholic alternative pop – reverb-heavy guitars, driving drums and influences from The Cure, Joy Division and Sonic Youth. His vulnerable lyrics deal with coming of age, toxic masculinity, experiences of racism, fear of the future and the pressure to perform. Live, blue friend plays with a full band and has supported Frittenbude, among others.
