Boris Grebenshikov und die Band Aquarium

Boris Grebenshchikov founded the band Aquarium in Leningrad in 1972 together with childhood friend Anatoly Gunitsky. Aquarium is regarded as one of the most influential bands of Soviet and Russian rock music, initially performing in private apartments due to the lack of official venues in the Soviet era. With Glasnost and Perestroika in the mid-1980s, the band moved from underground status to official recognition.
