Covenant

Covenant is a pioneering Swedish electronic band formed in Helsingborg in 1986 by Eskil Simonsson and Joakim Montelius, blending synthpop and electronic body music (EBM) with techno influences to shape the futurepop genre. Emerging from basement experiments, they gained recognition through dynamic live performances, including early tours across Germany, Belgium, and Holland, and festival appearances that solidified their reputation for intense, immersive shows. Signed to influential labels like Off-Beat and later Dependent, Covenant became a cornerstone of the synth scene with their innovative sound and enduring global presence.
