Dad Horse Exp.

The Dad Horse Experience is the project of Bremen-based musician Dad Horse Ottn (Horst-Dieter Hotten), who began touring in 2008 as a one-man act playing banjo, mandolin, foot bass pedal (fotdella) and kazoo. He coined the term "Keller-Country" (cellar country) for his mix of country gospel, singer/songwriter, punk and oompah-polka. His song "Gates of Heaven" became an anthem of the Muddy Roots scene. Since 2019 the solo project has grown into a collective with a rotating lineup of 3 to 7 musicians.
