Depression are a death metal and grindcore band from Lüdenscheid, North Rhine-Westphalia, formed in 1989. What began as a one-man project by Kai Sattelkau grew into a duo in the early 1990s and a trio in the 2000s. The band remains active and releases through Defying Danger Records.
