Der Moderne Man

Der Moderne Man was an experimental, German-language band from Hanover, founded in 1979 and active during the Neue Deutsche Welle (NDW) era. Emerging from the punk band "The Worst," they were part of the scene around the No Fun Records label and were championed early on by radio DJ John Peel [dewiki.de, kulturgehtweiter.de]. Their music combined punk with influences from dub and avant-garde [ox-fanzine.de, tapeterecords.de]. After disbanding in 1984, the band was revived in 2019 [dewiki.de, ox-fanzine.de].
