Thrash MetalMetal
Destruction was formed in 1982 in Weil am Rhein, southern Germany, and is one of the "Big Four" of German thrash metal alongside Kreator, Sodom, and Tankard. Their landmark albums Infernal Overkill (1985), Eternal Devastation (1986), and Release from Agony (1988) helped define the aggressive European thrash metal sound. After disbanding in the 1990s, the band reformed in 2000 and continues to release music and tour to this day.
