Diamond Dog
Anyway, Essen
Diamond Dogs is a Swedish rock band formed in 1991 in Katrineholm, Södermanland, by vocalist Sören 'Sulo' Karlsson, guitarist Anders 'Boba' Lindström, and keyboardist Henrik 'The Duke of Honk' Widén, drawing heavy influence from British early 1970s R&B and glam rock. They gained fame with their 1993 debut album Honked, produced by Tomas Skogsberg, and the single 'Blue Eyes Shouldn’t Be Cryin’' which aired on MTV’s Headbangers Ball, building a reputation through relentless touring and energetic live shows featuring Sulo’s dynamic stage presence and Honk’s innovative piano rock style. The band achieved cult status worldwide, especially in Italy with massive crowds, released key works like the 2000 EP Among the Nonbelievers and 2001 album As Your Greens Turn Brown, toured with acts like Hanoi Rocks and The Damned, and disbanded in 2015 after 25 years.
