Dick Brave & The Backbeats is a German rockabilly cover band led by the alter ego of pop singer Sasha (Sascha Röntgen-Schmitz, born 1972 in Soest), formed in 2002 as a humorous project delivering electrifying 1950s-style performances of pop and rock classics like 'I Just Can't Get Enough' and 'American Idiot'. Their debut album Dick This! topped the German charts and achieved double platinum status, marking Sasha's first number-one record, while their high-energy live shows captivated audiences with neo-rockabilly flair. The band released a second album, Rock'n'Roll Therapy, in 2011, expanding their revival sound before a hiatus.
