Die Umverteiler

Die Umverteiler are a young punk band from Bamberg. They draw on German and American punk from several eras and file the result under what they call “progressive punk”: classic skate punk with fast beats sits alongside reverb-soaked post-punk and acoustic ballads on a twelve-string. The songs are socially critical and the band's own stated aim is authenticity from the first note to the last. They describe the sound themselves, more briefly, as “Regenwolken Punk” — rain-cloud punk.
