Discharge

Discharge formed in 1977 in Stoke-on-Trent and gave d-beat its name. With singer Cal Morris they developed a raw, distorted sound from 1980 on, with anarchist and pacifist lyrics about nuclear war; the debut album "Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing" (1982) shaped thrash, crust, grindcore and black metal, and Metallica, Anthrax and Sepultura have covered their songs. Their latest album is "End of Days" (2016).
