Dmitry Spirin

Dmitry Spirin (born 22 February 1975 in Moscow) was the singer and main songwriter of the Russian pop-punk band Tarakany! from 1995 onward; the band had existed since 1991. The band halted activity in 2022 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which Spirin publicly condemned, leading Russia's Ministry of Justice to designate him a "foreign agent" in 2024. He now performs solo and, on his "Tarakani! – 35 Years" tour, plays Tarakany!'s best-known songs with a full band.
