Einherjer are a Norwegian Viking/folk metal band from Haugesund, formed in 1993. As pioneers of Viking metal, they fuse traditional Nordic folk elements with heavy metal, shaping the genre. After a hiatus from 2004 to 2008, they reunited and returned with new material.
