EL*KE

EL*KE is a German rock band formed in 2001 by Martin "Mücke" Krüssel, Hubert "Hubi" Deters and Peter Bolmer in the small Lower Saxon town of Haren (Ems), relocating to Berlin at the end of 2002. The band's name comes from the license plate of the car that served as their getaway vehicle out of the provinces. Between 2005 and 2008 the band released three albums on it.sounds/BMG ("Wilder Westen", "Wir Müssen Hier Raus", "Häuser Stürzen Ein") and toured with acts including The Rasmus, Silbermond and Die Toten Hosen, with Farin Urlaub (Die Ärzte) contributing as a guest songwriter on the third album. After a hiatus, EL*KE made their comeback at the Lautfeuer Festival in Lingen in 2023 and has since toured again with a new lineup.
