Elster

Elster is a garage/noise duo from Salzburg, Austria, consisting of Jonas Geise and Markus Weitgasser, formed in 2019 as the continuation of the band Gastophon. Musically the duo moves between noise, post-punk, grunge and 'problem-pop', combining distorted guitar, heavy drums and clattering metal with hysterical vocal outbursts. They released the EPs 'Genau' (2023, with Mario Fartacek) and 'Kalte weiße Männer' (2024, with Philipp Hanich).
