Excelsis

Excelsis is a Swiss folk metal band founded in 1996 in the Emmental region (canton of Bern), incorporating flute and bagpipe into their songs early on, back when the pagan/folk metal scene was still young. The band has released seven albums, mostly based on Swiss history, and charted twice on the Swiss album charts. They have supported bands such as Eluveitie, In Extremo and Korpiklaani.
