FOO FIGHTERS

Rock

Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1994. Founded by Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana, the group got its name from the World War II term "foo fighter," used by Allied aircraft pilots to describe various unidentified flying objects. The band's lineup solidified with Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, and Taylor Hawkins (who passed away in 2022). Known for their energetic performances and catchy melodies, Foo Fighters have achieved widespread critical acclaim and commercial success, becoming one of the defining rock acts of the 21st century. They have won multiple Grammy Awards and sold millions of records worldwide, solidifying their place in rock history.
