Gangrena Gasosa is a Brazilian band from Rio de Janeiro that mixes metal and hardcore with thrash riffs, tongue-in-cheek dubbing their style "Saravá Metal." With its humour and references to Afro-Brazilian religions, the group is one of the best-known names in the Rio underground.
