Gates of Ishtar is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Luleå, formed in late 1992. With "A Bloodred Path" (1996, Spinefarm Records) and "The Dawn of Flames" (1997, Invasion Records), they belong to the founding generation of melodic Swedish death metal.
