HAPPY MONDAYS

Happy Mondays formed in Salford, Greater Manchester, in 1980 and became one of the defining bands of the late-1980s/early-1990s "Madchester" scene. Fronted by singer Shaun Ryder and dancer Bez, they blended indie rock with funk, psychedelia and emerging acid house influences. They are best known for albums such as "Bummed" and "Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches" and songs including "Step On" and "Kinky Afro".
