Hubert von Goisern & Lungau Big Band

Hubert von Goisern (from Bad Goisern) and the Lungau Big Band, a jazz ensemble from the Lungau region in Salzburg, have collaborated since 2022/23: songs spanning more than three decades of Goisern's work, from his Alpinkatzen era to the present, arranged for the 17-piece big band. Musical direction is by Horst Hofer (trumpet), with arrangements by Burkhard Frauenlob and Alex Trebo. The partnership produced the live album "Blech, Balg & Holz" and sold-out shows in Austria and Germany; under the title "Big Band Theorie" the program continues on tour in 2027.
