JOE UDL

JOE UDL was founded on January 31, 1986, in Hamburg by five 16-year-old students. The name "Udl" is Hamburg slang for "Police" and reflects the band's influences, which include The Stones, The Beatles, and Bob Marley in addition to The Police. Their style combines rock, reggae, and blues with sometimes Dadaist lyrics and is considered a precursor to the "Hamburger Schule" (Hamburg School).
