Kellermensch

Kellermensch is a Danish rock band from Esbjerg, originally formed in 2006 under the name Brudevalsen. Their name comes from the German translation of Dostoevsky's novella "Notes from Underground." Their sound combines rough, simple rock instrumentation with piano, pump organ, violin and upright bass, drawing on influences ranging from Tom Waits and Nick Cave to Neurosis and Tool, as well as the German expressionist art movement Die Brücke. In 2011 the band signed with Universal Music Germany; their albums include "Goliath" (2017) and "Capitulism" (2022).
