Knasterbart

Knasterbart formed in 2012 and play what the band themselves call "Gossen-Folklore" — wry folk rock pitched between folk and medieval rock. It was started by Malte Hoyer (Versengold) in the guise of Hotze Knasterbart, later joined by Mr. Hurley of Mr. Hurley & die Pulveraffen among others. Their first show was at the Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum in 2013; Feuertanz Festival and Wacken Open Air followed. The band announced their break-up in 2023 but have kept playing occasional shows since.
