knitting

knitting is an indie rock band from Montreal, Canada, led by singer-songwriter Mischa Dempsey, who started the project as a solo lockdown venture. Since the 2024 debut album 'Some Kind of Heaven' (Mint Records), the band has performed as a trio with Andy Mulcair (drums) and Sarah Harris (guitar). Their sound blends slacker and grunge influences with echoes of '90s alternative acts like Hole and DIIV. The band has played festivals such as SXSW and Sled Island and has toured North America and Europe.
