KOSMETIKA

KOSMETIKA is a five-piece band that came together in Melbourne (Naarm) in 2018, led by songwriters Veeka Nazarova (from Khabarovsk, Russia) and Mike Ellis (from Auckland, New Zealand), with the remaining members from Perth, Deniliquin and Essendon. Their sound blends post-punk, '80s new wave and art-pop with synths and layered guitars, with lyrics partly in English and partly in Russian. Their releases include the albums "Pop Soap" (2019), "Illustration" and "Luxury" (via Spoilsport Records among others).
