Lacrimosa is a gothic metal duo founded in 1990 by German musician Tilo Wolff in Frankfurt am Main. Since 1994, the project has been led jointly with Finnish singer and keyboardist Anne Nurmi. Now based in Switzerland, the band combines gothic metal with classical and dark wave elements.
