Lorsque les volcans dorment

Lorsque les volcans dorment is a feminist musical collective from Paris, founded by Virginia B. Fernson, previously active under the name 8 Is For Infinite, surrounded by members of Bank Myna and Skinsitive. The project blends post-rock with spoken word and sound poetry, giving voice to gender minorities speaking about traumatic experience. The core lineup consists of Virginia B. Fernson (guitar, keyboard, samples), Maud Harribey (violin, keyboard), Manon Hincker (lead guitar), and Anne Béguin (bass). Their self-titled debut album was released on March 14, 2025 via Voice Of The Unheard Records.
