Manuel Schmid

Manuel Schmid, born 1984 in Altenburg, Thuringia, is a singer, pianist and composer. Since 2012 he has been the frontman and creative lead of the art-rock band Stern-Combo Meißen, for which he co-wrote and produced albums including "Bilder einer Ausstellung", "Freiheit ist", "Es geht die Zeit..." and "Die Himmelsscheibe von Nebra". Together with Dirk Zöllner, André Gensicke and Marek Arnold he performs the programme "Die schönsten Balladen aus dem Land vor unserer Zeit", interpreting classic East German rock songs.
