Matthias Hüttig

Matthias Hüttig is the drummer of the Dresden-based trio Bert Stephan Group (BSG9), whose music is described as 'Groove Analog Space Music' blending classic Krautrock and spacerock with modern electronic influences. Alongside Bert Stephan (bass, trumpet) and Moritz Töpfer (keyboard), the band improvises freely without prior arrangement ('instant composing'), with Hüttig providing the driving beats and electronic sounds. The billing name 'Matthias Hüttig' thus refers to the drummer within this trio rather than a separate band.
